The Terminator vacuum tanker will be available for hire from the autumn. It’s being pushed to its limits at Whale. It hasn’t reached them yet so they have to invent new tests to establish its capabilities! If you’ve got works that require the world’s best give Hydro Cleansing a call and get TERMINATOR to your door!
Hydro Cleansing isn’t afraid of anything: no flood and no matter how much terrorism is scourging Europe! Everyone is alert! Our experienced engineers always have a second man in the cab when driving our vacuum tankers in London. Two sets of eyes keep vulnerable road users safe and dangers more readily seen. Our trucks are some of the safest and most environmentally sound in the industry. Our company delivers wet waste management for festivals, marathons, football stadiums as well as emergency response work with optimum service! We work with the emergency services on flood and spill response. We’re the company to trust.
Every possible action is being taken by the London security services to protect major events from terrorists, from building more cast iron bollards to MI6 maintaining inconceivable levels of surveillance.
Safety starts at home and as a bold and bright team, we take having a culture of safety within the company very seriously. Hydro Cleansing’s drivers are regularly trained and tested. We have a zero tolerance policy on drugs and alcohol on our depot and office premises. Sniffer dogs are brought in at random to maintain this level. We go to every possible length to keep the public safe.
The threat of flash flooding is something that we can all do more about though. Excellent level of maintenance on drainage systems, culverts, sewers, interceptors, pump stations, etc gives the highest possibility of keeping the sudden onslaught of flash flood water at bay.
Our flood response varies from job to job. For example, clearing flood water from basement stairwells, sucking the waste water from sodden ground to prevent it entering an at risk building, and vacuuming water from essential transport routes such as the highways! If you’re caught because of a flash flood on a motorway around London, chances are the most awesome of tanker companies are already on their way!
Hydro Cleansing are passionate about keeping drainage infrastructure running cleanly. From sewers to loos; from pump station maintenance to flood response, our mission is to clean it up and dispose of it safely. It’s a simple mission but one we fulfil with more creativity and innovation than anyone else!
We are passionate about pump station maintenance, so we’re excited to tell you about the little known marvel of engineering that is the Victorian Pump Station behind Surrey Street in Croydon.
This fresh water pump station was one of the first ever built. Baldwin Latham Engineering designed and built this innovative structure and also wrote a guide to sanitary engineering and sewer construction in London.
Victorian engineering developed at an incredible rate. The pace of development in the cities is comparable to today’s digital revolution. Some things don’t change however. The Victorian saying,
“a man should look to his drains before he furnishes his drawing room,”
is as true as ever. The need to clear drainage is as much a necessity now as it was then. Excellent installation, maintenance and repair provide peace of mind. In the Victorian era this was achieved in a very basic fashion compared to how Hydro Cleansing do it!
Safety and efficiency in confined space work are delivered beyond what Victorian engineers could imagine. Their PPE consisted of a hat and boots, today our confined space engineers are kept a lot safer! In the Victorian age, the confined space operatives would pull ploughs through the sewers to unblock them! Thankfully innovation has led to Megatron’s power to decimate blockages in hours through the simple power of high pressure water and vacuum suction. Baldwin and Latham would be amazed! Bazalgette probably saw it coming though!
