Received this this morning:
“I am writing this email to thank four members of your staff from the Croydon branch of Hydro Cleansing.
I found I had a burst sewage pipe in my front garden which was leaking raw sewage onto my driveway… the manhole cover had blown so my house and driveway had all been covered in excrement, sanitary products etc. Not only this but my toilet had also exploded, so my bathroom was also covered in excrement.
I just want to make sure their line manager or boss is aware of the excellent work they did for me. I know it was their job but to me they went above and beyond the call of duty. They were my knights in shining high vis jackets… It’s not pleasant work for them but they cracked on with no complaints.
They were true gentlemen and I hope they get thanked personally from their boss.
They were on site at my property with me and wouldn’t leave until the job was completely finished.
Thanks again to Dave, Luigi, Barry and Dave!”
… the weather is set to change this weekend as temperatures drop.
Britain should prepare as the Met Office has warned of a rare weather phenomenon which is affecting the whole country.
A pleasant start to 2013 is set to subside this weekend as temperatures are expected to drop below zero, with the possibility of snow showers.
The weather expected is linked to changes in the upper atmosphere known at Sudden Stratospheric Warming, which is commonly followed by a cold period.
With warm air pushing in from the west and cold air pushing in from the east, the combination it is likely to lead to snow across most of the country on Saturday, Sunday and early next week.
The mild and wet weather we’ve experienced since the New Year saw unseasonably high temperatures and is to be replaced by the freezing cold, sleet and snow unfortunately.
The last time we experienced a SSW it caused large amounts of snow to fall.
Visiting Europe this year for the weekend or for a summer holiday?
Fancy doing something a little different, venturing underground into the unknown on a sewer tour?
Flip-flops are not recommended and it may be a little smelly but it’s simple, fun and inexpensive.
