Last night sadly marked the end of London 2012. The Paralympics came to a close with Team GB coming third, behind China and Russia, with 120 medals in total, 34 of those were gold. Sarah Storey and David Weir both won the most amount of medals for Team GB, earning 4 each in their events.
The Olympics and Paralympics have been enjoyed by all and it appears that the whole of London as well as the UK have embraced the games, with all the support certainly adding to our success.
Coldplay, Rihanna and Jay-Z all played at the closing ceremony at the Olympic Park, marking the handover and lead up to Rio in 2016. We must say that Rihanna looked beautiful. Obviously she must be a big fan of Hydro Cleansing and our fleet!
Where waste can’t reach the main sewer unaided, pump stations are specifically designed to transport this waste. A general pump station is usually positioned below the sewer system, so a pump is required to send the waste up towards the main sewer. When the waste reaches a certain point after building up, the pump will be activated, lifting it through a specialised, pressurised pipe system. The whole process could stop if the pump were to breakdown or crash, possibly instigating floods, blockages or an entire system collapse.
Our drainage engineers are specialists, fully trained and qualified, regularly carrying out all aspects of pump installation and servicing. The services on offer include but are not limited to:
- Pump station system design
- Pump station system maintenance
- Sewer pump maintenance
- Pump station system repair
On top of providing vital services in cleaning and maintaining pump stations, fitting equipment and dealing with floods and blockages, Hydro Cleansing offer a comprehensive design and planning service including the sale and specification of pipework, power cabling, switch gear and telemetry equipment.
Like all forms of electro-mechanical appliances, a pump, requires careful servicing, making sure it’s fully working. Frequent servicing and maintenance ensures that there are no emergency disasters which could potentially be expensive as well as disruptive.
