River Clean Up - Surrey Countryside
Here we were called to a major environmental pollution incident in the heart of the Surrey countryside.
The task was to firstly secure the surrounding wildlife and minimise any further contamination. This was done using various surface booms to form a containment area around the incident. We then worked on absorbing and filtering the polluted water in an attempt to return the river to its original condition. The incident happened over a five min period, but final sign off was not for a further twelve weeks. Hydro-Cleansing were on site inside two hours of receiving the call.
