Hydro Cleansing Ltd own and operate a vast fleet of tankers. These range from our vacuum units for small and domestic drainage issues, our jet vac and medium combination tankers for industrial and commercial use, all the way through to our super combination units fitted with the latest liquid ring vacuum pump system.
Tanker Technology
As a company we have come a long way since the early days when our first tanker purchase was a basic vacuum tanker. As our level of service and customer base has developed, we have recognised the need to continuously invest in tanker technology.
PTO Advancements
- The PTO's (Power Take Off unit) used on our vehicles are made
up of two sections and four outlets with incorporated clutches - PTO's are mounted on suitable silent blocks
- The insertion of the PTO is controlled from the driver's cab
- The PTO combines funtioning of the pumps, taking all the
power from the vehicle's engine
This type of PTO has several advantages:
- The clutch of the vehicle is never strassed as the insertion and disconnection of the pump is carried out by operating on the clutches of the PTO
- All of our vehicles operate at lower revolutions and can still operate all of the equipment
- All Hydro Cleansing tankers are 400 / 500 bhp with Euro 5 specifications. These are used to lower all emissions and to allow us to meet the new LEZ regulations in the UK and Europe

Tanker Fleet
Across our 14 sites, we have an enormous fleet of tankers, all state-of-the-art, safely maintained and ready to fulfil any need from small domestic drainage requirements, right up to the largest industrial demands. We constantly invest in this technology in order to provide the most appropriate solution to any waste or disaster management need. In fact, we challenge you to find a tanker requirement we are unable to fulfil!
Articulated Units
With its enormous 22,250 litre capacity, the Articulated Units have been
used as storage units on sites and to provide fresh water.
Jet Vac Tankers
Our Jet Vac Tankers, with their impressive combination of high pressure, high volume jeting with high powered vacuum capability, fulfil a wide range
of removal tasks. They can also be used to transport liquids.
Combination Tankers
Our Medium and Super Combination Tankers work at a higher pressure and offer an increased volume. Their greater vacuum power increases the materials they can remove, even household bricks.
The Super Combination Tanker has more specialist applications, such as the clearance of mainline sewers and its reverse cycle facility allows for discharge into another tank, allowing its site work to continue uninterrupted.
